1978 company was founded
When WMW Siemens in Neugablonz closed down, seven of its former employees had the courage to set themselves up in
business on their own. Headed by the company founder, Karl Kolle, a building is chosen and rented for the fresh
start in the small village of Frankenhofen.
With a lot of hard work and zeal the company thereafter succeeds in increasing the number of regular customers and
can assert itself on the market.
1981 Transformation of the company
In 1981 the company is transformed. Karl Kölle, Peter John, Klemens Posselt, Kurt Klumpp and Wilfried Müller all
become partners in the new private limited liability company. In the following years new members of staff are
employed. Investments are made in state-of-the-art CNC technology. By the mid-Eighties the premises are bursting
at the seams.
1988 a new building and a move
It is at this time that the decision is taken to build a new company building at the present-day location,
Mauerstetten. The new building is completed in the summer of 1988 and the move is made largely by the members o
f the company themselves.
KWS Kölle GmbH continues to expand. The workforce increases and the machine pool is enlarged.
In 1991 Karl Kölle retires
Having reached retirement, the founder and hitherto managing director, Karl Kölle, leaves the company.
2002 The business is handed over
At the end of 2002 owing to their ages, the partners hand over the company to Helmut Hübner who has been the owner of a
successful mechanical engineering company since 1986.
2004 building extension
KWS Kölle GmbH today employees 50 people and enjoys an excellent reputation. In order to be able to uphold its policy of expansion, in the middle of the
year the company building is to be extended.
